About Me

I know what it’s like to live while holding space for people who are no longer present.

It is hard on every level.

From working with many people over the years, I’ve learned how to live alongside the pain that comes from loss. I’m now able to transform it into understanding and compassion for others who have experienced loss.

Trying to move forward after loss is also very hard.

For me, it took years to quieten the anguish I felt every day.

I ended up operating daily, looking normal but feeling anything but, as the full force of blame, shame, guilt, fear and lack of joy took hold and reminded me every day of what I didn’t have, and created those negative habits, patterns, beliefs, emotions and negative voices that once ruled my world.

Then one day I got a Nudge, found energy work and my life started to slowly change, one appointment at a time.

Energy work mended my broken heart, cleared my mind, calmed my body and soothed my soul.

Nudges From Spirit

A Nudge is something you can get from Spirit, a thought, a feeling, a song playing on the radio you haven’t heard in years but moves you to remember; there are so many ways Spirit will try to catch your attention.

A Nudge from Spirit is something that nudges us to act, but logically we don’t know why, let alone be able to explain why we are acting upon that nudge.

My Nudge from Spirit was incredible. I always wanted to know when my dad died.

Every year in early October, I would search for my father to see if he was still alive. In the early days, I used to apply to Births, Deaths and Marriages for a death certificate but as time went by it got much easier, I could just check online. 25 years past with no hits.

Then I got a nudge early March to do an online search whilst waiting in line for family photos, “but it’s early March” I would argue with the nudge (in my head) “nowhere near October,” the more I protested, “it wasn’t the right time of the year”, the more I got nudged to check, and with so many families in front of us, I thought “well why not, I have time”.

After all that arguing going on in my head, with the nudge persisting, I found my dad’s funeral notice.

I wasn’t the only one to get a nudge from him to check something that day.

The funeral celebrant and hospital coordinator where he passed away also got a nudge from him as well. He was meant to have his funeral the week that I found the funeral notice, but they were both too busy at work, so they had to postpone the funeral service to the following week. That was enough time for me to contact the funeral parlour who placed the death notice, only to find out that I had not missed his funeral service. Not only did I get to attend the funeral, give a eulogy but I also found my mother and got to spend the last 3 months of her life with her. Dad needed me to step in and care for her while he physically stepped out as he was her primary carer.
